Welcome to Mac Access Dot Net; The British Mac Accessibility Network

Quick Links

You're here; the British Mac Access Dot Net accessibility network. This is a relatively new but growing project and our aims are:

So, let's get to it!

What we have to offer

Some time ago, we established an E-Mail forum whose function is to promote awareness of accessibility under OSX and iOS. This includes accessibility to third-party hardware and software, as well as web content which is VoiceOver friendly.

With rapidly approaching 250 members, the forum contains a positive wealth of individuals who have between them a vast array of skills, ranging from programming and application development, to web design, multi-lingual translation skills and Braille production, plus a great deal of general iOS and OSX know-how. If you're interested in learning more about this group, please visit one of the following websites:

The first of those pages is a full overview of all of the E-Mail forums we host, in a number of domains on a variety of topics. The second is a more specif list portal; offering extensive help with the control of E-Mail subscriptions via carefully formatted E-Mail messages. We frequently receive requests to modify members' subscription options; so this portal is designed as a self-help resource.

To make a donation, you may use your PayPal account; so it's safe and secure. We give you our word of honour that your domation will be used for the soul purpose of site maintenance and improvements, and it will be treated in the strictest confidence; regardless of the amount you opt to give. If you'd like to donate, please, most importantly of all, accept our sincere thanks! Your contribution will help keep the service going, and help us to improve it. It's not the amount of your donation that counts, it's the fact that your donation shows us that you value the service we try to provide. Support comes in many forms; not the least of which is encouragement. We don't even mind constructive criticism; as long as it's genuine. We've very grateful for any input you may have. Are you interested in Mac OSX and multi-lingual support? If so, our sister facility, Cecimac.org, may be the place for you. Cecimac.org, run by our colleagues and good personal friends Anne and Archie Robertson, is brim-full of information, primarily of use to French language Mac users and enthusiasts.

Cecimac.org recently celebrated its third birthday, and is now well established. Anne and Archie have a considerable amount of knowledge and experience in all things Mac that they'd like to share with you.

Although primarily French language, they are now working on support for other languages; including English. So please feel free to CHECK OUT THE CECIMAC.ORG WEBSITE

And here's another great Mac facility. The Software Connection, run by Travis Siegel, offers a number of free and very useful applications. You can find the Software Connection website here

This website is still under development. We will be adding significantly to it in the near future; so please check back soon.
